Julie B. McCausland, MD, MS, FACEP has been selected to participate in the 2017-18 Professional Mentoring Skills Enhancing Diversity (PROMISED) program, which provides participants with the knowledge to expand their career coaching, leadership, and mentoring skills to help more effectively mentor scientists who belong to underrepresented groups, as defined by the National Institutes of Health.

Julie B. McCausland, MD, MS, FACEP was elected Chair of the Council of Transitional Year Residency Program Directors at the recent Association of Hospital Medicine Education (AHME) annual meeting. She has served as the UPMC Medical Education Transitional Year program director since 2009. Dr. McCausland recently completed a year as a member-at-large to the Board of AHME and continues as the Region II representative for the association through 2018.
