Congratulations to Chris Martin-Gill, MD MPH, who was chosen as one of the UPMC Physician Aces for 2014. Dr. Martin-Gill's outstanding efforts to improve the care of acutely ill and injured patients in many ways – the ED, EMS, air medicine, and teaching – is the underpinning for the recognition. Notably, he has created an approach to early STEMI care that is unrivalled elsewhere – improve the outcomes of these patients by streamlining care in the moments when needed, no matter where to seek care first. In October, Dr. Martin-Gill will be honored with select others across UPMC receiving this appellation.
