Mr. David Salcido was awarded with one of the AHA Resuscitation Science Symposium Young Investigator awards at the 2013 meeting this weekend. His work entitled, “Incidence and outcomes of re-arrest following out of hospital cardiac arrest” was mentored by Dr. James Menegazzi in DEM. Two DEM Research Fellow Alumni, Dr. Josh Reynolds and Dr. Adam Frisch, also won Young Investigator Awards. Dr. Reynolds presented his work, “Does early post-cardiac arrest illness severity affect the association between immediate cardiac catheterization and improved outcome?” and Dr. Frisch presented, “Documentation discrepancies of time-dependent critical events in out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.”
